The Drama League of Ireland fully respects your right to privacy and we will not collect any information about you without your clear permission. Any information which you volunteer to The Drama League of Ireland CLG will be treated with the highest standard of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Acts, 1988 & 2003.
When you visit our website you can do so without submitting any personal data. However, if you wish to receive our e-communications, book online for theatre training, purchase membership or playscripts, you will be asked to register with us. This involves submitting your name, address, phone number, email address or credit card details when applicable. This information is used to process your order and to provide you with the service you may have requested. We do not store any record of your credit card or Laser number. Our card services partners are the AIB and Realex.
We do not rent, sell, or exchange mailing lists, or otherwise disclose such information to third parties, except as may be required by law, or through voluntary cooperation with law enforcement authorities if we judge that such cooperation is necessary to combat fraud or other crime.
Where you have provided a contact address, telephone number or email we may use this to contact you with regard to the principles of ‘fair use’.
For general web browsing no personal information is revealed to us, although certain statistical information is available to us from our website logs. For example, like many websites, we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses dramaleagueofireland.ie. It is our policy never to disclose such technical information in respect of individual website visitors to a third party, except for law-enforcement bodies and then only in response to illegal activity such as “hacking” or, unless obliged to disclose such information by a rule of law.
The technical information will be used only by The Drama League of Ireland, and only for statistical and other administrative purposes. This policy fulfils the requirements of the legislation and embraces the principles of best practice in relation to Data Protection Policies and procedures in both the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
